IWC kembali melanjutkan tradisinya dalam merayakan Tahun Baru Imlek. Setelah sebelumnya menghadirkan Portugieser ‘Year of the Rabbit’ (2023), Portugieser ‘Year of the Dragon’ (2024), dan Portofino ‘Year of the Snake’ (2025), untuk tahun 2026 nanti, IWC memperkenalkan edisi terbaru: Portugieser Automatic 42 ‘Year of the Horse’ Limited Edition.
Tahun Kuda akan dimulai pada 17 Februari 2026. Dalam budaya Tionghoa, sosok kuda melambangkan semangat, energi positif, serta keberanian untuk mengejar tujuan baru. Hewan ini juga diasosiasikan dengan kekuatan, kesuksesan, dan ketekunan — karakteristik yang selaras dengan semangat koleksi Portugieser.
Jam tangan ini hadir dengan case stainless steel berukuran 42.4 mm, menampilkan warna burgundy sebagai warna tema — terinspirasi dari nuansa merah keberuntungan khas perayaan Imlek. Dial-nya menggunakan hands, angka Romawi, dan indeks berlapis emas, dilengkapi sub dial small seconds di posisi 9 o’clock dan indikator power reserve di posisi 3 o’clock, serta date window kecil di posisi 6 o’clock yang menjaga tampilan tetap seimbang.
Ditenagai oleh kaliber in-house IWC 52011, movement otomatis ini menggunakan sistem winding Pellaton dengan komponen keramik, menghasilkan cadangan daya hingga 7 hari (168 jam) berkat dua barrel. Salah satu detail paling menarik adalah rotor berlapis emas yang bisa dilihat melalui caseback sapphire, dirancang dalam bentuk kuda yang sedang berlari.
